awards mean nothing in my eyes, ive seen some terrible tattooists who have won awards and some of the best tattooers who no-one has even ever heard of, i suppose one mans art is another mans piece of shit, kinda like modern art, some people pay thousands for it….. i wouldnt piss on it, lol, but yeah, how to find them is a different thing, check out the convention websites maybe, or even just try google, type “first place tattoo” and youll probably come across a lot of folk saying i won this for first place blah blah, i won an award once for one of the worst things ive done, lol, at some bike rally, well the owner of the tattoo won it not me, he won because the judge liked skulls, thats the only reason, it was an early piece of mine and i was embarressed, i wouldnt want folk coming to me cos of that, id rather them come cos they like my work.
